The Business Immigration program has been designed to attract experienced business people to Canada. The aim of the program is to promote economic development and employment by attracting people with venture capital, business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to generate revenues and provide employment opportunities for Canadians and permanent residents.
In order to qualify under this class, you must have sufficient assets and business experience so that you have the ability to contribute to the development of a strong economic environment in Canada.
There are three main categories under the Business Class
- Investor Immigrants – the investor class is specifically designed to attract senior executives with managerial experience or owners or part-owners of successful businesses who have the ability and intention of investing in Canada for 5 years;
- Entrepreneur Immigrants – the entrepreneur program is specifically designed to attract owners or part-owners of successful businesses who have the ability and intention to own or part-own and actively manage a business in Canada which generates revenues and provides employment opportunities for Canadians;
- Self-Employed Immigrants – are people with relevant experience in self-employment or participation at a world class level in cultural activities or athletics or in respect to purchase and management of a farm, who have the intention and ability to be self-employed in Canada.
